Cottonwood Commercial Brokers Make Deal on Historic Virginia Metalcrafters Building

The historic Virginia Metalcrafters building located in Waynesboro was sold on May

30th, 2013. Rockfish Partners LLC, a Richmond investment entity, sold to VM

Acquisition Waynesboro, LLC. VM Acquisition Waynesboro LLC is an entity

comprised of John Hall, Christopher Mast, and Paul Cline, three successful businessmen

from the Harrisonburg area. The immediate plans for the building are to use a small

portion for some specialty metal working, and to continue leasing portions of the building

to local craftsmen, small businesses, and for local warehouse use. Greg Hitchin, Director

of Economic Development for the City of Waynesboro quoted, “This is great news for

the City of Waynesboro and it is wonderful to get the building back into a manufacturing

use, especially as it relates to Metalcrafting. The building has a rich history and has been

significant to the manufacturing heritage of Waynesboro.”

Peter Wray of Triangle Realty from Staunton represented the seller, and Keith May from

Cottonwood Commercial from Harrisonburg represented the purchasers.
