2022 Virginia Statewide Business District Resurgence Grant
Waynesboro has been awarded a $116,000 to support small business recovery in downtown and neighboring areas (known as the Resurgence Area). To see if your business address is located in the grant area, visit https://www.waynesboro.va.us/161/GIS, open the map, and turn on the resurgence area layer.
Enhanced Façade Grant – Businesses located in the resurgence area will be eligible to apply for a façade grant to assist with their customer entrance. The grant is a matching grant up to $5,000 for outside improvements including awnings, signage, painting and more. For businesses located in the downtown enterprise zone, the match is increased to $7,500. For complete details click here. Funds are limited and must be used by April 30, 2022.
Small Business Technical Assistance – This grant will fund technical assistance to small business owners to assist them with business plan development, consultant services, development of enhanced websites, marketing tools, and more. Housing Study – The City is contracting with an outside firm to update the 2012 housing study. If you are a residential or housing developer and would like a copy of the study when completed in spring 2022, email Greg at hitchinge@ci.waynesboro.va.us.
